Just a wonderful evening with the incomparable Judi Dench working her own particular magic amidst a very talented cast. Everyone got the very most from their part: the 4 lovers squabbling, the artisans rehearsing their mad play, Puck being mischievous, Oberon slightly sending up his character - all wonderful. Bottom was terrific - as the ass he was loving, playful, funny and beautifully bemused with the full blown attention of a fairy queen.
