This was a chance to see ‘The Golden God' himself for those who did not get to the one off Led Zeppelin reunion concert, and it was well worth it even with the absence of Page and Jones and who-ever filled Bonham's shoes. Robert was surrounded by The Band of Joy who proved to be honed professionals producing short drum solos reminiscent of Zeppelins eminent past, guitar riffs complimenting hits like' Houses of the Holy' and 'Tangerine' and the fantastic female vocalist who more than made up for the absence of Alison Krauss who dueted with her leading man with songs from the Raising Sand album like ‘Please read the letter'. Mr Plant conversed with his audience between time travelling swishing of long golden main and the thrusting of mike stand in the air, apologising for making then wait too many years for his return, then quipping how he now enjoys a good catered venue in his mature years as opposed to his youth when his only sustenance at gigs were of the addictive kind. Bluegrass and Gospel tunes were also sprinkled throughout the evening which began with 'Angel Dance', The Beatles inspired 'You can't buy my love' and ended with a standing ovation after Robert Plant and The Band of Joy had serenaded the crowd 'Goodnight'. Long may the 'Golden God' continue and bring his followers Rock and Soul..
